AVoverIP – what you should know
AV over IP (Audio-Visual over Internet Protocol) refers to the transmission of audio and video data over a network (LAN, Wi-Fi, or the internet)
More and more companies are moving from hard-wired AV systems to modern AV-over-IP solutions for reasons such as increased cost-efficiency, flexibility, and improved collaboration. While conventional systems rely on limited, wired connections and matrix switchers, AV over IP transmits audio and video signals via the corporate network or a dedicated IP network.
